Lets be real here: if you can’t laugh at yourself, then you need to have another cocktail.
A funny little side story that I thought that I would share. Show everyone that I can’t be perfect ALL the time! (it’s exhausting!)
So my Parisian themed altered book project-of-the-week. It’s not so Pepto pink anymore. It’s all coming together and has got a little life in it now.
Or so I thought.
I was happily clipping and gluing along, working on pages 4/5, when I took a little (wine refill) break.
For some reason, I just thought that I would do a quick Google and make sure that I had spelt “amore” correctly, as it the “title” on my book cover.
I never took French in school. I took the one year mandatory class in grade 7 and quit because I hated the teacher (who incidentally became my foods teacher in grade 11 and one of my favorites).
Maybe had I not quit French class, I would have registered earlier (prior to gluing my “amore” on my beautifully altered and Pepto pink front cover) that that is an Italian word…not French.
And the icing on the cake: I thought that “amore” was French for friend…
Apparently not.
Apparently it means love, (in Italian), which I do feel for my friends. But it just wasn’t quite what I was going for.
So that’s my stupid moment of the week. Making a French themed altered book, to showcase my friends, using the Italian word for love as the title.
Good thing I had extra Pepto pink paint to repaint the cover after I had to tear off the letters.
And also a good thing I ran out of wine and had to refill before I posted my beauty book up here and looked like a total tayder head ;)
When the moon hits you eye like a big pizza pie
That's amore
When the world seems to shine like you've had too much wine
That's amore
That's amore
When the world seems to shine like you've had too much wine
That's amore
