While I was sitting anticipating Weebo to pop "the big question", I remember making a comment to Meemaw, that he had better get on it soon, as my nephews were starting to get older and I really wanted them to share in our special day with us. So obviously, there was no doubt in my mind that I would have my two nephews and my niece in our wedding party. Two ring bearers and my beautiful little flower girl.
They played their roll wonderfully, though based on the rehearsal, I had some doubts that they would get down the isle together. But my brother in law had a private talk and a rehearsal with them, and they stole the show.
Thanks to my mom, with her amazing sewing skills, the kids “props” turned out so wonderful!
Lets start with the ring bearers. I knew that I wanted them to carry the rings themselves (my god son carried mine) so after a date at the mom’s house, voila! Two adorable ring pillows, in our colors and even complete with some wedding bling!
My flower girl! She was too cute for words. Mom and I found an Easter basket at Michael's, that had a little mint green felt wrapper around it (I think it was even complete with bunny and carrot iron on ;) . I was planning on just draping a “Our Green” napkin in it and making it look cute, but mom had a moment of brilliance and took off the mint wrapper, traced the form on the napkin…a little cut, a little sew and voila!
Cheers!
