Since starting this new role at work, my weekends have become my only days off. And I can think of a thousand ways I would rather spend them than at home doing the house cleaning. It takes me about 6-7 hours to get it all done and by the end of it, I'm pooped!
And with summer right around the corner, in particular the last thing I want hanging over my head while I want to be outside in the sunshine is that the house is disappearing into a pile of dust bunnies.
I was talking to my mom the other night and she suggested doing a little bit every day. Brilliant I say! How didn't I think of this?? :)
So, of course, to motivate me a bit and help me get into a routine, I wasted a bit of time and made a cute little checklist. The things I want to get done during the week to free up my days off.
Now, to answer what I know you are thinking: No. I will not be printing it off each week and making my checky-marks. (So stop rolling your eyes little sister...)
Its just a cute little reminder to have on the fridge....aaannnd to aid in a little babbling blog posting!
The Plan: to start the new "routine on Monday...I'll keep you posted how I do!
Cheers!
* PS: Laundry. Yes, you read right. Wash Saturday. Put away Monday....why so? how-for come? Because I hang most of my clothes up..in another room...usually not realizing that I haven't put it away until a week down the road when I go looking for "my grey pants" or "that super cute top"...Just sayin...
