And now that
my flowers are all planted and the dirt has warmed up, its time to shift gears to my garden.
The other day as we were sitting on the deck after work, I said
to Weebo that it’s a good thing that we weren't relying on my crop from last
year to get us through winter…we’d have died from starvation long ago. So with that being said, I hope that my garden crop wields a bit
more this year and having learned a few lessons from last year, I have faith
that it will.
(Plus, I plan on druggin them little garden beds up with
fertilizer to make em really go!)
I think that I’m going to try my hands at the same crops as
last year, only scaling back on the tomato plants by one (and planting only two).
So it will be: tomatoes spuds, beets (I may cry if the hail gets
them again this year), carrots, onions, and zucchini. In my herbal garden: rosemary, oregano, basil (I don’t know why I keep trying with growing basil outside, as it never
really does much, but I'm a sucker I guess), and of course parsley.
And the good news in the garden so far, other than the defrosted/warmed
dirt? My chives and strawberries came back! WootWoot!
Cheers!
