Shag-a-listic!

When we bought our home, we found this amazing shag rug at Costco and knew it would look perfect in our family room. 

We HAD to have it!

We got it home and it fit in the room like a charm...it looked great with the scheme of the house. It worked even better though, as it stopped the ottoman from slipping all over the laminate. 

Then came our dog...who as a puppy, loved to chew at it... 

So we took the rug away while we worked on basic training before tackling that. 

Then, with the ottoman moving constantly because it had no traction... making me nutty...back came the shag. 

Today?  I think the thing is so nasty and needs to go!!

Aside from the fact that it gives me a heart attack trying to vacuum, the bits of dog cookies/dust/random goobies that are so imbedded in it (no matter how many times you vacuum) ...well you get the point.

I honesty don't know how this kind of carpeting lasted as long as it did...and I sure as hell couldn't imagine having to vacuum a whole house covered in this stuff!!

* Hopefully* it will soon be out with the shag, and in with a new lovely rug!
