That’s how Edmonton currently is.
This picture of our back yard barely does a good job to paint the current situation...but I do love how high the pile of snow is on the table ;)
When I was watching the news last night, the meteorologist said that the area had received anywhere from 30-35 cm of snow! Eeeek! And now they are saying blowing snow is coming our way...before the minus 25C temps come later in the week! Why do we live here again???
Luckily, the roomie and I were able to get our cars out.
This afternoon the seclusion and hibernation finally got to me, so I ventured out. I did a little wedding supplies shopping and a bit of a grocery run.
Then I got home and happily hit the kitchen to make some good ole home cooking insta-meals.
On the menu...and done in less than an hour, I have bubbling on the stove: homemade cream of mushroom soup, Beef and Vegetable stew, and in the oven, tuna noodle casserole and meatloaf (tonight’s dinner de jour!)
It smells heavenly in the house and once I store it all away, dinners for work days (hopefully to last for a while) are all cooked up and ready to go!
Comfort food all the way when the snow is piled three feet deep.
Stay warm and travel safe!
Cheers!
PS Dont the pictures ROCK with my new camera!! I can't wait to post more pictures now!! And imagine how great they will look when I actually know how to use my new camera!
