Be Mine

DIY Love Day Centerpiece

So I know that its jumping the gun a bit, but I have to admit: I have started in on Valentines Day crafts! I just couldn’t resist when I walked into my local Dollarrama and saw all the adorable V-day stuffs they brought in. Then, to tempt myself even more, I wandered over to Michaels and got bit by the bug BAD!
Sooooo, yes, I have crafted in advance and hope that I will do a bit better than Christmas and actually get things DONE before the day comes knocking!

Here is my first show and tell.
I found these little lovelies at Michaels. Purdy, but kinda boring by themselves. So I pulled out my glue and my sparkles and did this to them:

Better, no?

Then, using some inspiration I randomly googled, I found a clear vase around the house, loaded it up with the classic Valentines treat cinnamon hearts, and ta-da! A festivus for Love Day!

We always have some kind of seasonal centerpiece on the kitchen table and I love how it brings a little more something to the house. The whole thing may have cost me 10 bucks or so, the most expensive thing being the two bundles of silk roses and the cinnamon hearts. The heart sprigs that I have tucked in with them were super finds from last years Love Day, so I just recycled them for my craft.

What do ya think?
Cheers!
