Book review: Does the Noise in My Head Bother You?
By: Steven Tyler
Yup. Aerosmiths’ very own. The first biography that I have ever read.
I picked this book because a) I wanted to cross the “biography” off my Book Bucket List, and I figured why not read about sex, drugs and rock and roll? and b) I may have developed a bit of a crush on his crazy self watching him on American Idol this season.
After finishing it, I have a few things to say about it:
1. Steven Tyler’s ADD should have been more controlled by the editor as I found it to be all over the place…kinda like him. If the editor had done a bit better of a job streamlining the time table, it would have been a bit easier to follow Steven’s life.
2. He is one hell of an entertaining man
3. You gotta love all of his crazy sayings and love when he busts out the lyrics and blues beats.
4. I said to Weebo just the other day that since reading this book, “when I hear an Aerosmith song now, I feel tight with Steven” LOL
5. You have to love a book that prologue starts with : “Life is short. Break the rules, forgive quickly, kiss slowly, love truly, laugh uncontrollably, and never regret anything that makes you smile.” Words to live by ;)
Recommended? Only for the light of heart, fluff read and if rock and roll hits your soul ;)
Cheers!
