...but give us a few years and we will overtake even his Christmas display!
Take two at this blog post…I hate doing that. Thought that I had saved it somewhere but alas! I discovered that I did no such thing. And the worst part is that round one was a pretty witty post and I’m not feeling nearly as witty today.

Oh well…It will happen.
So our Work Christmas Party was the other night. What a way to kick off the holidays. If I wasn’t in the Christmas mood before (HAHA!) I sure am now!
So in "light" of The Christmas Time a-Comin, lets talk about just that.
A few weeks back, Weebo and I had a date: time to put the outdoor Christmas lights up for the season.
We picked the coldest nastiest day of the year so far to do them. Hindisight…around Halloween when he was home and I said “hey we should do lights today”…well we probably should have. The day we chose instead, wasn't nearly as fall-weather-esque...the snow was falling in all its huge fluffy wonderfull-ness, the winds were blowing moch three in all of mother-natures kicking-your-ass-idness…the sun decided to play a no show...Needless to say, I tapped out after a few hours cuz I was just too damn cold and it ended up taking us two days to put them all up.
Gotta give serious props to my man though for crawling out the window to hang lights because I JUST HAD TO HAVE THEM on the upper tier of the house. Our ladder wasn’t long enough (OF COURSE :s) for him to reach from the ground so he went all Spiderman and crawled out windows in able to get them up.
But did it sure make the difference! (plus watching him “torpedo” himself back in the house was utterly priceless. Bruises to show for all his hard work ;)
The lights look wonderful and we patted each other on the back at the job we did, considering it was the first decorating of (our very own) new house.
And as of two days ago, I can officially turn them on! Usually it’s the wait until Dec 1st to make the big reveal, but I just can’t wait and I figure its one month till the Big Day, so why not? Plus, its our damn house and I’m all growed up and I CAN DAMN WELL DO AS I PLEASE!
And so here is the list of The Best and Newest Additions to The Christmas display:
1. More house = more lights
2. The timers…wonderful wonderful invention! Lights turn on at dusk and stay on for as long as you set them for. The best part is that when I work until 9 o’clock at night, I make the turn at the corner AND THEY ARE ON ALREADY!! Yippee skippy! Nothing makes me happier than seeing Christmas lights! Especially when its been a super crappy day!
3. Our reindeer and sleigh that we bought at CT…love them and so cute.
4. Maurice the Moose.
5. Party lights when hot tubbing…WITH MORE CANDY CANES! The front of the house couldn’t have all the love, so of course we had to put some at the back too so we can enjoy the Festivus while bubblin in the tubby!
6. SUPER BALLS!!!
'
So stay tuned. I'm off work tomorrow and will be posting pics ;)
Cheers!
