Trimming the Tree

It’s been a family tradition for as long as I can remember…Brown Cows and White Christmas while setting up the Christmas tree.

Weebo was home a few weeks ago, and we started our own tradition of trimming the tree. (Granted, he had just gotten off of night shift and was half asleep as we set up tree number 3 of 4 ;), but we did it, and we did it together.

So tonight after work, I will stop at the store and buy tree number four!

Growing up, my parents always had an artificial tree. Living with Meemaw in “the hood” though, I fell in love with the smell and Christmas-ness of a real tree. So Number 4 will be just that.

The plan is to let it “defrost” tonight and tomorrow will be a night of Kahlua and milk, egg nog lattes, singing along to Bing Crosby while White Christmas is playing in the background, and decorating the tree. I can't wait!
