Smells Delish!

I saw this recipe for a homemade “pot”pourri on Pinterest (the original recipe is hereand thought that I would give it a whirl. Not only does it look so wonderful, it would do wonders to bring out the scent of the season and help to make the mood.  I thought that I would give it a whirl for our Festivus Party last night.
Ingredients state:
one whole orange or just the orange peel
1/2 cup cranberries
1 Tbsp. whole cloves
3 sticks of cinnamon or a small handful of small pieces of cinnamon
a bit of grated nutmeg if desired

And the "destructions" seem simple enough too: Quarter the orange, throw the last ingredients all in a pot. Fill er with water and put it on the stove on low. Keep the water level up, as in don’t let it all to evaporate.

The site says that it stays good for weeks, which is even better.

Let the house smell wonderful all the way through the season and no need to worry about the “killer” no-goods in the artificial air scents.

Cheers!

Update: It worked wonderful! Can't say much for the appearance at the end of the night, it browned and doesn't look nearly as lovely. BUT! It smelled amazing and defiantly made the aroma of Christmas in the house.
