I hope…think…PRAY! that this next step doesn’t shoot me in the foot! I hope…fingers crossed…that winter has more or less flocked off for the year. No more snow. No more frost.
Cuz them lil seeds got sprinkled in my dirt
today!
What did I plant? Well let me tell you…Cuz I’m
rather proud.
Sweet peppers, jalapeno peppers, beets, potatoes,
carrots, zucchini and onions. Peas, raspberries and tomatoes. My herb garden is parsley, basil, oregano, chive and rosemary. And strawberries!
Due to my “contained garden” and the limited area I have to plant all that I want to, I decided to take a total gamble and plant my peas in containers. I KNOW! Crazy bee-yatch that I am! The “Internet” says that they only need six inches of soil so why the hell not! A few wasted “pea seeds”…try it and see. Also trying the same thing with the raspberry plant I bought for Weebo. Raspberries are “noxious weeds”, as one of my nurses described them as, so I figure if I can keep it relatively contained and it grows…PERFECT!

The tomatoes I am also going to try growing in
containers. One of my brothers did this last year, and his turned out ginormous so I
have high hopes that mine will also prosper.
I told Weebo before I started this whole
undertaking that if the worst case scenario happens and nothing grows (or it
all withers and dies)…the grocery store is only 5 minutes away, lol. Waste a
bit of money, but learn a few things along the way!
Time to see what kind of green thumb I have!
Cheers!
