Miss Me Yet?

I gotta say…I have found myself looking at Blogs in a whole new light…I totally get how bloggers call this a full time job! Maintaining a blog, keeping it entertaining…finding shit to write about…its A LOT OF WORK!

I have no excuses this time. I won’t even try and make any up. I have just have been plain ole busy and slightly too un-inspired to write. (Just an FYI…I have Garden Update #4 sitting in my drafts box…totally meant to post it. Never did. Being as it’s January, is it too late to fill you in? Should I just pretend there was no final “TA-DA!” to my garden? Or do I say screw it and still post??)

But I digress…

I am hoping to change my lack of Blogin’s . That’s my goal (I WILL NOT insult myself or you in saying …ahem…resolution) I love doing this, I just need to discipline myself more to regularly do it.

So what’s new with me?

Well I have started a new job. Same place (the hospital), same title on my ID badge (for now) but a new role. I have been a unit clerk (Read: medical secretary) on ICU for the last 6 years. One thing about me: when I get board, I get unhappy. So I approached my managers and said I was looking for something new. I was humbled (and shocked) that they listened and wanted to keep my around, so my big big boss created a position for me: Staffing Liaison.

Sounds fancy, don’t it?

I can’t see it as being a forever career move, but for now, the change is really good.

So I find myself for the first time in my life, working Monday to Friday. It’s a nice treat I have to say. I’m off every day at 3:00. After working extended 12 hours shifts for the last 4 years (usually working 9-9, or 10-10) I am delighted to get off work now and still have half the day left to myself.

Now, one would think that with all this extra time that I’ve been busily playing in my studio, crafting up a storm…nope. Sure haven’t. Hate that I haven’t but like I said up top, un-inspired.

Take my super-duper Christmas gift to my dad idea: Saw the picture on Pinterest in the summer. Decided then that I was going to make it. Said in October “wow, I should get on that”…Christmas Eve…guess who is crafting said gift? Doh!

So, I’m going to give my little blog a really good shot again. Cuz this whole blogging thing? I truly miss it and I know all five of you who read it, may be (just a wee bit?) missing it too.

So here we go again. See how much bullshit I can spit out this year into Cyber space.
