Summers Mission...Possible?

The title says it all...Will we get it all done?

We have only few short months for us to complete the To-Do list and there are some big projects are on it this year!

1. Paint the fence. We have a lot of it. I joke that I will get ten feet done, see something shiny (Squirrel!) and then lose all interest in it. But it needs to be done!

2. Paint the deck. Same as the fence... attention span could play into this one too. But we have to get some paint on it to stretch it out for another year or two.

3. Window trim and caulking. (This should be #1 on the list as its the most important but the whole list needs to be completed so doesn't really matter what order it's in). Our backyard faces south and on some of the windows you can barley tell that there was ever paint on them. And also just like the deck and fence, we are trying to stretch their life out a few more years...windows are expensive to replace Batman! My goal with them is to get one or two done each day during the week after work and leaving my weekends free to play.

Now that being said, Weebo and I were in the hot tub the other night and I threw it out there that this could maybe be a "hire out" job...we will have to roll that one around for a bit, crunch numbers and such.

4. Curb appeal. Since puppy has entered our life, we have officially admitted defeat on ever having a purdy back lawn again. I feel confident saying this even with the 2 feet of snow still covering the lawn. So here enters curb appeal. Make our front yard look like a million dollars! Hubby can do his lawn thing and I can start pulling out nasty ass landscaping shrubbery!

5. Pull out mugel pine...O the nasty mugel pine. I didn't even know what this thing was when we bought the house. Then spring came and it looked even worse! Our plan? To rip it up and possibly put a fire pit there.

6. Garden Season Two. I cannot wait to see what my little garden does this year! COoomee ONNnnn Beeets!

7. Under the kitchen-nook mess. I started on it last year...Kinda the same steps as with the garden...pulled up all the weeds, then the gravel...then had no idea what to do with it! So I plunked a pot there and decided to deal with it next year ;) Well, next year has arrived!

I will try and post before and after pictures of our ToDo List as we go along this summer...can't show you now though. Mainly because its still a winter-wonderland out there!

Cheers!
