I put flowers in the pots! ;)
Last year I purchased three
monster-sized pots and tried my hands at planting bulbs…utter fail! This year, I stuffed em silly with petunias and they are looking wonderful!
Step two to fix the kitchen nook “purdy factor”? Completed!
The other day's project? My amazing husband pulled out the dead shrubs! Weeehooo!
I had really good intentions of
asking him to snap some “before” pictures for me…I forgot. But I did manage to
get some mid way through Removal of Dead Shrubbery.
Victory!
The next step is to remove the rest of the rocks and pull up
all the existing (and horribly laid) landscaping fabric. We purchased a tonne (literally)
of top soil from Costco that was delivered this week and we plan on topping up
the bed, relaying landscaping fabric, and planting two more peonie plants. We
have one there already and its such a stunning, full look that I thought more
would look amazing. Put in some pretty new edging and relay the rocks...I can't wait to see it all finished and just hope we can get it all done in the next couple of weeks.
