Makin it Purdy

Ah spring! And with spring comes the annual yard clean up. Personally I love it, especially as my fingers start itching to get into the dirt and plant flowers…and herbs…and vegetables…I can’t wait!

I got out there yesterday and played in the dirt a bit. My garden beds are just about defrosted now. The deepest one is still a bit solid but we are getting there!

The down-fall to this time of year though is getting a bit overwhelmed with all the “fix it” jobs that you begin to notice when you are sitting on the deck after work enjoying a bit of sunshine.

I blogged about the summer To-Do list and that is definitely only the beginning of it!

I really want to take before and after pictures and blog my little fingers away with all the progress that we hope to make in the yard this summer (plus, as I said to Weebo last night in the hot tub...now that I have put our summer To-Do list out in blogger-space I will look like a total goober-shmuck if I don't make sure that we get it all done!).

We have opted out of our big camping trip this year to Vernon BC because of the things that we need/want to get done in the yard. (Also because of my lack of vacation time this year, but that’s not as much of a player into it). So hopefully I should have lots so write about as we see our yard perk up a bit!

Step one after planting? Painting the fence!

Cheers!
