There Once Was A Good Shrubbery

Maybe...it's up for debate. Let's just say that when we became the proud owners of our home these little shrubs were seriously in need of love. 

And I sure tried! But I just couldn't bring them back to life. The greenery you see in the picture is the "good" side of the plant...the other side was completely dead.  

So out they came!

Time to bring the beauty back!

We obviously need more rock laid (if that's what we decide to end up doing) and to try and grow grass back where the shrubs killed it. But I think it's already looking way better, if a bit boring. 

Hubby had a great time ripping them out with the truck at least ;)
