I mentioned a few posts back…our friends and family spoiled us rotten with wedding gifts. A huge Thank You to all of you, your generosity was overwhelming!
As some may know, actual wedding gifts are not that common anymore. It’s mostly gift cards and cash. And of course, you need to have somewhere for these lovely cards to go.
Enter: The Card Box.
I’m not going to lie; it’s probably my favourite wedding crafts that I get to show off. I am so proud of the final result...it actually turned out better than I could have hoped.
I originally found one that I liked by googling online. I think it was originally being sold on e-Bay, and I followed the link to a posting a wedding-talk board. I used that as inspiration when making mine.
So with an idea in mind, I headed off the fabric store and Dollarramma.
The three original boxes I purchased:
Armed with yards of fabric and three different sized boxes, I headed home and happily hit the work. It took me a bit of trial and error, some swearing and LOTS of motion-lotion (aka merlot) to get it done, but the final result was worth it all (except maybe the merlot hangover the one morning).
